Undergraduate Researcher of the Month
The Student Undergraduate Research Council (SURC) is pleased to announce the Undergraduate Researcher of the Month Award. This award recognizes excellence in undergraduate research at the University of Central Florida and honors students who have excelled in academic research under the mentorship of a UCF faculty mentor.
Nominees must have been involved with research for at least one complete semester and be current UCF students in good standing with the university. Nominees must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Students can be nominated by their peers (i.e., current UCF students) or faculty members. To nominate a student, please completely fill out the nomination form and submit the complete form to SURC@mail.ucf.edu, fax to 407-823-5115 or drop it off to Office of Undergraduate Research (Computer Center II, room 209). Nominations are rolling, and each month a new student from the pool of applicants will be honored with this award. Questions about the program can be addressed at SURC@mail.ucf.edu or 407-823-3125.
Undergraduate Researcher of the Month Award recipients will receive:
- A certificate to recognize their research efforts
- Recognition on the Office of Undergraduate Research website
- Acknowledgment of their award in the monthly OUR electronic newsletter
- Recognition at the 2011 Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence
Note: Current or previous members of the Student Undergraduate Research Council are not elligible to receive this award.
