EXCEL Program

EXCEL is a program funded by the National Science Foundation to increase the number of U.S. citizens and permanent residents who pursue and are awarded a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

 

The EXCEL program increases student success in the freshman and sophomore science and mathematics courses through the establishment of learning communities—creating connections among students, faculty, and the disciplines.  The EXCEL program enhances the traditional undergraduate majors by solidifying students’ foundation in the calculus and science courses that are required in technical majors.
